Single Dad looking for some fun and to meet some nice people. I have many interests from sitting in front of a fire reading a good book to heading down to my local beach and just hanging out.
I have had full custody of my two boys for the last 6 years and haven't had alot of time to "get out". But now that they are a little older, I am starting to make some time for myself. I stay very active by weightlifting, bicycling, golf, tennis, swimming and moto-cross.

I am bi-cultural as I was born in France some 69 years ago and became a (legal) immigrant in my twenties. I'm a victim of "nice guys finish last" and turning into the buddy. I don't think there's still a heck of a lot of men like me still around that open doors, very respectful etc. I'm a pretty easygoing laidback guy. I am the eternal poolboy and have a very cool disposition on life. At least that's what my friends have told me all my life. I like going out with my friends whenever the opportunity comes about but I really don't mind staying home and playing guitar or video games. I play World of Warcraft but I don't let it take over my life. I also go to culinary school so I can cook! I like reading in coffee shops or parked in my car by the beach or anywhere with a view. Sometimes I like looking at Google Maps of places I'd like to visit or live at. I also like riding around on my single speed vintage road bike. My ultimate guilty pleasure is car karaoke... mostly when I'm alone or with close friends.

If politics are important for you to know, I'm more of a libertarian with a liberal edge than anything... Politics aren't really important to me, I think if you're too extreme on any end, it can be scary, but with that said, I'm more afraid of hardcore conservatives than I am of hardcore liberals. I used to be liberal and still share a few of the ideals though and from experience, I tend to get along better with people who lean to the left.

I don't really eat land meat but I eat seafood. No, I'm not a hardcore strict morally-driven vegetarian, I just don't like the taste/texture of meat to I don't eat it much. Most of my friends eat meat and I really don't mind it at all if you're a total carnivore :) as long as you don't mind that I don't eat meat. I love seafood though!!!

I am a 29 year old divorced mother of one. My son is my main priority. I love to travel, and I love to learn about other cultures. I work as a linguist, speak Russian, and am currently learning Spanish. I have been to many foreign countries, and have MANY more to see. Next on my list is probably India or Greece. I have a Bachelors degree in International Relations, and plan to complete a masters within the next 3 years. I am a very open and honest person, and appreciate the same in return. I'm an avid hiker, getting into backpacking more. I'm a hippy, but I'm in the Army. I like most any kind of music from hard rock to folk. Another important one - I definitely want something serious and long term someday, but right now I don't want to go rushing into things.

I'd honestly be happy just having someone to stay in and watch a movie with on the weekends, go out to dinner with (or stay in and have dinner - i love cooking), maybe take the occasional trip to SF with. I smoke. Which isn't exactly environmentally friendly but hey, no one's perfect. At least I admit it. Although smoking is generally viewed as a self destructive tendency (which I am not denying) I would like to state some of the pros; you meet new people every day and in general everyone I've met that smokes uses the left side of their brain more than their right. I am a linguist. However, studying multiple languages generally takes a toll on your english vocabulary so forgive me if I'm not overly elloquent or make some spelling mistakes.

Umm, so let's see here. I'm another young Navy sailor fresh out of Albany, New York-- stationed in sunny, beautiful, expensive Monterey. I'm a drummer, a "rude boy", and a sentimental romantic. Intense: I'm a coach; I'm a defensive coordinator for a junior college football team, I also coach girls fastpitch softball and I do private lessons for those in need of one on one time. Caring: I do care a lot about people and if there's anyway I can help someone I will. I usually try to put people before me, I'm a good listener and will give people my 2 cents if they want it. Easy going: I have a pretty busy schedule as it is with my job and the coaching that I do. So, with that, I don't mind at all just kicking it, taking in a movie (at home or the theater), down to do pretty much anything and willing to try (most of the time) something new. I like talking (which, yes, includes listening), playing games (not as in 'yo imma playa'), movies, live theater (participating and watching), music, good food, great food, and quality wine and beer. I'm new to California, and really enjoying myself.

I'm a hockey fanatic, a music worshiper, and I fancy myself to be pretty funny. The little Quality Control guy in my head is often out to lunch so I talk a lot, and about pretty much anything. Photography, sports, books, philosophy, people; it doesn't really matter what I'm talking about, if I'm with the right person/people, I can go for days.
There is something to be said for being quiet, and still, and serene. I just default to the more talk-y, laugh-y, good time on a couch or in a car with friends thing. Sometimes, that's off-putting. Bummer. If that's your thing, though, chat me up.
Also, going out can be fun. Sometimes I just like exploring, looking for a venue or restaurant that I've never been to. Again, it's more about who I'm with than what I'm doing.

Hey all, I'm tim (hattable) 20 years old this year, just had my bday 2 days before xmas 2008. Can't wait to turn 21. ahhh...that felt good to list all the things i really hate. but, back to business...even though i am more than willing to meet a guy, i've dated guys and i've been consistently disappointed - both mentally, emotionally and physically. I'M SORRY! it sucks. i've been in several long term relationships and yet i still feel like i haven't truly connected the way i imagine it could be. i want a level of intimacy and closeness that has been lacking in my life, i want a soul mate, a friend, a lover that stimulates my mind and my body. maybe even more than desiring it for myself, i hope to give the love, kindness, and tenderness i so hope to find to someone else as well...and maybe that person isn't a man? but maybe it is, so whatever.

..i like to smoke :) and i would love love love it if the person i start this with (please please please be out there!!) is also a smoker. and i mean 420. i worked really hard all through college and this time in my life, partaking in the ganj is what i'm down for. like i said earlier, i like meeting new people and traveling and getting the vibe in a new place can usually be found whilst smoking a bowl or sharing a few beers, its just the way i am and i hope someone out there is going "yayyy!"and will email me back even though this is the most random and long profile ever.

wow where do I start. I've been told I have a good sense of humor, and like all things funny. I like to hang out with friends, like my dog lady (whos my best friend) and taking her jogging and hiking whenever i get a chance. I'm big on hobbies. Mainly I skateboard, usually everyday if possible. I ride dirtbikes out in Hollister Hills and at clear creek. I've been building a jeep for over a year now and its almost done....so excited. as much as I like to be outdoors doing stuff and keeping myself active I also enjoy playing chess. That's all I got I guess.

Just chilling, hookin up with ole friends, make new ones. I love going out and having a good time. Spending time with family and friends. I can either go out clubbin or chillin at home watching flicks. Love to dance, love to sip coffee at Starbucks, whatever I'm in the mood for!

I find it difficult if not impossible to summarize myself in 100 words, or a thousand. You can't tell another person who you are, not really- you have to reveal yourself by actions, over time.
But I have the benefit of a friend who is a talented writer who is willing to share her experience of me by ghost writing:

I'd like to learn French. I even started using rosetta stone but i think i need to just go there for a month or two and force myself.
What ever happened to lays stax? I always thought they were better than pringles. Also, air crisps. they were pretty salty but I liked them too.
Sometimes, I'll see a movie that I saw when I was younger and suddenly realize I had no idea what the fuck was going on when I first saw it.

In the last five years, I've lost 200 lbs. I'm not done, but I love my body and refuse to hate myself because I might not fit into what some people have categorized as "beautiful".

I was a first generation college student. I take my education very seriously and I am so excited that I am almost done. But I miss the quiet of the country sometimes.
